Could have stayed for hours then rode around the area more. It began to rain. I left my jacket at home. I left my room unburdened by backpack etc.
I am most interested in the building materials. Looking closely at the layers. Picturing the engineers and hands that mixed and shaped each bit of a wall. Sometimes I pick out a pebble or two to send to a friend with whom I've shared walks looking at and discussing the origin of this or that piece of hard earth.
Within the Ancient City is a museum. I miss going to museums. I wish it were dry. I could spend hours outside.
This morning I learned how to use the stove in the kitchen.
I made a pot of tea that I bought in Kaleici (old town Antalya). It's minty, sweet and has a touch of I think eucalyptus. I feel very mellow. Is this what draws people to tea?
Aaand as soon as I figure out how to fix the low memory in the new phone I will post the 78 pictures from today.
