Long ride 5-6 hours mostly through th countryside. Loved it. Wheeled in exhausted. Fell out at 9pm. More later. Gotta dump the phone of these pics. I'll add context later. Going in to check out the ancient city today!
First, a place to park Loretta. I take it this is not part of the ancient ruins. It's rustic. I want to live here. It's perfect!
Just needs a bit of cleaning up.
It's a fixer upper.
Got a nice, working window. Perfect for Turkey's hot summers here inland.
A cupboard for my nice things.
And a spare building. I'll make this the cheese making place.
I love it! Can I live here, please?
Onto explore the massive site of Silyon
Look, you can see Buster in the center...
You can see Buster up top...
I climbed as high as I could. Not ready to die. I still have money left.
See the goats? There are babies, too.
The road from Silyon to Side. I enjoyed Mapsme's backcountry cycling route so much that I missed s turn and ended up on the D400. Then onto a gravel road. Then back to side roads toward the coastline. At thirty minutes to go I was tired. It'd been s great ride. I'd eaten everything I could.
Beep beep! Truck driver pulled over to hand me this!
The back roads I so enjoyed...
This random white mini mansion complete with equine figure along the D400
That moaning you heard was me: hot water AND water pressure!! At once! So far I've had to choose one or the other in all of my stays here. This baby was a scorching hot firehouse! Yeah! Live a water beating after a long hard ride.
I scarfed down ten mini bananas.
The end.
